Reject conveyor cost depends on product range, line speed, conveyor size, reject mechanism, construction standard, guarding, controls, verification sensors, reject-bin security and installation scope. A mechanism-only price is not directly comparable with a complete verified station, so an accurate quotation starts with the product and line requirements.
Application engineering
What determines the price of a reject conveyor?
The product establishes the mechanical duty. Lightweight sachets may use a compact air blast, while unstable, heavy or fragile packs can require longer controlled transfer, specialist guides or a retracting-belt arrangement. Higher speed and close pitch increase the demands on tracking, actuation and recovery time.
Construction and environment also affect scope. A general industrial system differs from a stainless-steel food-grade or pharmaceutical reject station with hygienic components, washdown consideration, secure access, validation support and monitored bins.
Controls can range from a defined interface to an existing PLC through to a complete panel with encoder tracking, HMI, event handling and fail-safe monitoring. Installation, line modifications, product testing, commissioning and operator training should be identified so the quotation is clear and comparable.

Key application considerations
- Product and throughput requirements
- Mechanism and conveyor length
- Food-grade or pharmaceutical build
- Guarding and secure reject bins
- PLC, HMI and inspection interfaces
- Verification, installation and commissioning
