Application engineering
Reliable rejection begins with the product.
Swing-arm diverters use a controlled arm or guide to direct a moving product from one conveyor path to another. They are well suited to larger cartons, cases and robust packs where the requirement is to divert rather than eject at high velocity.
The arm profile, actuation speed, conveyor junction and receiving lane are engineered around case length, mass, surface friction and throughput. The objective is a smooth, repeatable transfer without scuffing, snagging or overturning the pack.

More than a simple reject device
A swing-arm system can route products for rejection, manual inspection, rework, sampling or balanced accumulation. Recipe control can alter routing rules between products, while tracking ensures the correct case is diverted after an upstream inspection or database decision.
Sensors can confirm arm position and product transfer. Guarding, safe-stop behaviour, obstruction detection and recovery after a fault are defined with the complete conveyor layout in view.
Typical applications
- Cartons and cases
- Heavier rigid packs
- Rework lanes
- Sampling routes
- Two-way line diversion
