Secure high-integrity rejection

Pharmaceutical reject stations

Controlled removal and containment for pharmaceutical, healthcare and medical packaging lines.

Application engineering

Reliable rejection begins with the product.

Pharmaceutical reject stations are designed to prevent a failed product from continuing as accepted production and to contain it securely after removal. Typical products include bottles, cartons, blister packs, devices and labelled healthcare packs inspected for code, label, print, count, presence, seal or weight criteria.

Oxford Vision Systems can combine compact conveyor construction with product tracking, an appropriate reject mechanism, independent confirmation and a lockable or tamper-resistant bin. The design is developed against the user-requirement specification and line-risk assessment.

Defined states, secure access and clear evidence

Bin-present, access-open and full-bin monitoring can be included so production is not permitted with an incomplete reject path. A missed confirmation or mechanism fault causes the agreed alarm or line response, while operator displays identify the condition that requires attention.

Project options can include controlled user access, reject counts, audit signals and validation-support documentation. The exact scope and any electronic-record requirements are agreed before design so that controls and documentation remain aligned.

Typical applications

  • Cartons and bottles
  • Blister packs
  • Medical devices
  • Print and code verification
  • Weight and presence inspection
