Application engineering
Reliable rejection begins with the product.
Lane-divert systems move selected products between conveyors or split a single flow into defined routes. In reject applications they can transfer a suspect item to rework or manual inspection; in wider automation projects they can also balance production, separate formats or direct packs to different downstream processes.
Reliable diversion depends on more than the actuator. Oxford Vision Systems evaluates conveyor geometry, product tracking, accumulation, release spacing and the consequences of a blocked receiving lane. Sensors and control logic maintain the association between each decision and the physical pack.

Integrated tracking from decision to destination
A product may travel a significant distance from inspection to diversion. Encoder-based tracking, photoelectric sensing or controlled pitch can be used to maintain position. The selected solution depends on line behaviour and how products accumulate or slip.
Lane-full, downstream-ready and transfer-confirmed signals can be incorporated so the system takes a defined action when the intended route is unavailable. Operator displays provide clear status, fault and recovery information.
