Application engineering
Reliable rejection begins with the product.
Air-blast rejects use a precisely timed jet or array of jets to move a failed product off the production conveyor. With no pusher plate crossing the lane, the method can support very short product pitches and high line speeds when the pack is sufficiently light and stable.
Typical applications include sachets, small cartons, empty containers and other low-mass packs. The nozzle position, air volume, pressure, pulse duration and receiving chute are selected through application assessment and product testing—not by applying a standard setting to every line.

Controlled air use with positive confirmation
A successful system must generate enough force for reliable separation without disturbing adjacent good products. Oxford Vision Systems considers product variability, conveyor airflow, static, guide-rail geometry and the reject trajectory before confirming the design.
An independent sensor can verify that the rejected product crossed into the chute or bin. Air-pressure monitoring, full-bin sensing and a defined response to a missed reject can be integrated into the controls for a complete fail-safe philosophy.
